Passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket on Friday August 30th, 2019 in her 83rd year
Marion was the loving wife of the late Thomas Miller and beloved mother of Thomas J. Miller and Elizabeth Pepin. She was a proud grandmother to Nadine and Sarah Pepin. She is survived by brother William Park and predeceased by brothers Thomas, Joseph and John Park. Marion was a loving sister-in-law and best friend to Nan Park. She will be sadly missed by sister-in-law Dianne and her many nieces and nephews.
Marion was born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1936 and emigrated to Canada in 1962. Shortly after arriving, she met and married Thomas Miller. They settled in Newmarket, Ontario to raise their two children. Marion worked for the Ontario Municipal Board for many years as the smiling and always cheery receptionist. She retired in 1996 to spend more time with family and to help raise her beloved granddaughters.
Marion loved reading, socializing, dancing and Coronation Street. Her greatest passion was her family and she cherished her role as mother and grandmother. She was immensely proud of and devoted to her children and granddaughters. She also remained close with her extended family and no family function was complete without beloved “Auntie”. Marion was a vivacious and warm person who will be greatly missed by everyone who came into contact with her.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the caring staff of Southlake. If desired memorial donations may be made to the Stronach Regional Cancer Centre.
In accordance with Marion's wishes a private funeral service will be held.
