Obituary for Jane Warren

Marion Jane Elizabeth Warren passed away peacefully in her home with her family by her side.

Jane was born in Windsor Ontario on October 20, 1946, the middle of three children to John (Jack) R. Morris and Marion Winifred (Wigle) Morris. Together since high school and married for 53 years to William (Bill) Warren. Mother to Charles and Anna (Alex) and blessed with grandchildren Freya and Freddie. Jane is survived by her brother Scott (Barb) and younger brother Rick (Luciana). She is the aunt to 20 nieces and nephews. Jane graduated from High School in Oakville (Blakelock) and went on to earn degrees at The Ontario College of Art (OCAD), the University of Guelph, and The University of Toronto (OISE). She started her teaching career at Stouffville (SDSS) in 1971 and stayed there until she retired. While there, she primarily taught Art and was head of the department for many years. She was a dedicated teacher, who maintained connections and friendships with many of her former students. One of her main passions in life, other than her family and her art, was her love of horses. She was fortunate enough to live on a large piece of paradise in the hills of the Vivian Forest, where she was able to ride the trails daily and create artworks of her very own woods.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be arranged for a later date. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to Southlake Hospital and the Stronach Cancer Centre.
