HALINATY, Mark William - Passed away peacefully at home on April 26, 2021, in his 61st year. Loving husband of 38 years of Debbie (nee Rowney). Beloved father of Michael, Adam and his wife Brittany, and Amy. Proud “Gigi” of Brooke and Nolan. Admired brother of Paul and his wife Lesley and Chris and his wife Jenn. Son of the late Joseph and Stella Halinaty. Mark was born on March 16, 1960. He received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics from Queens University, followed by a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Toronto. He then went on to have a long and successful career with Thales Canada, leaving a lasting impression as President and CEO. In his spare time, Mark was an avid sports enthusiast as a dedicated Toronto Maple Leafs, Minnesota Vikings and Oakland Athletics fan. As a collector of all things that were of interest to him, his largest collections consisted of comic books, model rockets, sports cards and bobble heads. Mark was happiest spending time with his family at the cottage on Georgian Bay.

The funeral service will be Friday, April 30, 2021 at 2 p.m. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the funeral service will be a private family gathering.
