Obituary for Isabelle Hamann
On February 22nd, 2023 Isabelle Hamann passed away peacefully at Wynfield Long-Term Care Residence at 92 years of age. She was loving wife of the late George Hamann. Beloved mother of David Hamann and Dianne Cappon. Proud grandmother of Amy, Amanda and Matthew. Great grandmother of Teagan, Phoenix, Audrey and Jasper. Caring sister to her late siblings: Charlie, Jessie and Allister. Daughter of the late Catherine and Archie MacKinnon.
Isabelle was revered for her volunteerism and generous donations to organizations such as the Speech Foundation and the historic Brazilian Ball of Toronto, Ontario. To her family, she was known as “Oma” and is remembered for her incredible culinary skills as well as her masterfully produced embroidered works, knitted items and quilts.
The family would like to thank the caring staff at Wynfield who looked after her in her final year.
Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Speech and Stuttering Institute of Toronto https://www.speechandstuttering.com/
