I was 19, just arrived in Toronto and as fate would have it, this amazing, beautiful woman walked right up to my door and became our house room-mate. This began an instant 40 year friendship that has shaped my life in so many wonderful ways and continues to. Colleen - funny beyond belief, some of the most hysterical jokes ever told, laughter was part of her, full of energy, music and life!!!! Her sense of style was always evident. She worked in the fashion industry and I had a front row seat learning about style, grace, and of course Sequins!!! She loved to dance and taught many how to, including me!
Enough love to become Nana to other children that so needed her!! including my son Eric!!!
My best friend!!! I am truly grateful for having had you in my life!!! Forever Loved. You live on in all who were blessed enough to know you. Rest in Peace my dear Friend. Faye xoxo

My Auntie Colleen. I have amazing childhood memories of her when I saw more of her. She taught me how to disco, and she stocked our "dress-up box" with sequins and satin. I used to think I was the Cat's Meow in a copper color sequined tube top and matching beret she gave me...I wish I could find a picture of it. I remember being so confused as a little girl when we would visit her in Florida and we'd be swimming in her pool while she was wearing a turtleneck sweater :). To this day, when I hear the song "Born to Be Alive", I think of Aunt Colleen. Both because we danced to that song, and because it serves as a metaphor for her..... she sure knew how to live! Rest in Peace Auntie. xoxo
