Passed away peacefully in Newmarket, on January 9, 2023 in her 101st year. Loving wife of Robert Ormerod (passed 2006). Beloved mother of Allan Ormerod and Virginia Hackson (Joe). Proud grandmother of Paul Ormerod, Janelle Ormerod, and Brent Harrison. Great Grandmother of Rachel Ormerod, Riley Ormerod, Isabelle Harrison, and Hunter Harrison & 4 Great Great Grandchildren. Predeceased sister of Grace, Lina, Doreen and Elmer. Daughter of the late Thomas and Charlotte Harding.
Born November 1st, 1922, in Milliken, ON she was a church, school and community volunteer and educated at Toronto Business School. In her working days, Meryl was the Executive Assistant to the President of Dunlop Tires, Canada. The family would like to thank the staff from Southlake Village 3W and Roxborough Retirement Residence, as well as everyone for their love and compassion.
Funeral Service will be held Sunday January 15, 2023 at 1p.m. at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main St. S.,Newmarket with visitation 1 hour prior. All are welcome to join the family for refreshments immediately following the service. Memorial Donations may be made to Southlake Village or Southlake Regional Heath Centre.
