Obituary for Michael Robert Pidgeon

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of the most wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle, son-in-law, brother-in-law and friend.

Beloved husband of Susan. Loving father of Michelle Cross (Greg) and Jeff. Youngest son of the late Frederick and Ellen Pidgeon of England.
Dear brother of Barbara Penn (Joe) of England. Predeceased by sisters Joyce Potter (Harold), Wendy Rodger (Bill) and brothers John, Jeff (Eileen), and Roy (Fay) of England.
Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews in England, Canada and Cyprus. Many long time friends and extended family will greatly miss his kind and gentle soul as he was a true Gentleman.

Michael had many happy adventures camping, canoeing and hiking with his family and friends. His hobbies included woodworking making beautiful pens, reading extensively and he was excellent at casting model soldiers. He was an avid member of the Ontario Model Soldier Society, where he enjoyed creating dioramas for the annual show at Fort York. He also enjoyed participating with his wonderful friends in Tai Chi Georgina.

He was such a patient, sincere, hardworking, trustworthy, clever, honoured and respected man. He was excellent at Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune as he was so knowledgeable. Always willing to lend a helping hand, he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Queensville Holland Landing United Church on Friday, March 10th, 2023.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm with the Service at 2:00 pm. Refreshments will be served after the Service.

Donations in Michael's memory may be made to the Queensville Holland Landing United Church or a Charity of your choice.
