Obituary for Michelle Ann DesOrmeaux (Neddeau)

DesOrmeaux, Michelle Ann passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday April 12, 2023 in her 55th year from complications related to her battle with multiple cancers. Michelle was kind, thoughtful, opinionated, and direct and will be missed and remembered by the many lives she touched. Everyone you left in this world hates that you are gone, but we are happy that you are pain free and restful. We will always love and miss you until we can meet again.

Born in Toronto on January 7th, 1968 to Debbie and David, she lived in numerous places across Canada, before settling in Barrie, Ontario where she meets her future husband and baby daddy, Rob DesOrmeaux.
Loving wife of Rob for 29 years and beloved mother of Allyson and Alexander. Dear daughter of Debbie, sister of Christine (Darren) and Shawn, and proud aunt of Cole, Tyler, Charlotte and Nixon.

Michelle had a few different jobs (retail, baby sitting, house cleaning) over the years, until 2014 when she discovered her true calling and became a PSW. She devoted the next 5 years in the service of others and was so happy with the care and joy she brought to so many clients and colleagues. She was an accomplished baker, ceramic enthusiast and most recently enjoyed spending time at the quilt shop surrounded by friends, making fabulous blankets.

We want to give a very special thanks to the staff and volunteers at the Stronach Cancer Center in Newmarket at Southlake Regional Hospital. The level of care and dedication Michelle received made the whole process just a little less stressful, in what seemed an impossible situation.

Visitation will be held on Thursday April 20th, 2023, from 3 – 5 pm at Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street South, Newmarket, Ontario, L3Y 3Y9. Funeral service will be held on Friday April 21 at 2 pm, also at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home. The Friday service will be live streamed on YouTube for those that are unable to attend in-person.
