Obituary for Mildred Louise Hillier (Fitzpatrick)
October 18th, 1939 – to March 8, 2022
Hillier, Mildred Louise (Fitzpatrick) age 82 died peacefully and courageously at Margaret Bahen Hospice in Newmarket.
Predeceased by husband Reginald, loving mother to Darlene (Mark) and Jeff (Sandy).
Proud grandma to Lindsay (Gabe), Lauren, Ryan (Julia) and Shane (Hannah).
She will be sadly missed by her brother William, her sister Mary and her many friends and relatives.
Special acknowledgement to her good friends Gladys, Marguerite, Elaine, Joan, Betty, Marg, and Maureen, for their support and friendship for many years.
Her family would like to thank Dr. Liauw, NP Marissa Weiler, Nurse Chandra, Homecare Nurse Fariba, Dr. Kassam (The Stronach Cancer Care Team) and Dr. Karanicolas (Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre) for their amazing compassion and care of Mildred and the support they provided to her family.
In lieu of flowers and to recognize the incredible team and facility, the family is asking for donations to the Margaret Bahen Hospice.
In accordance with Mildred’s wishes cremation has taken place and the family will hold a private service. She will be laid to rest with Reg at the Queensville Cemetery.
To honour and celebrate Mildred, put on your shoes, and go outside for a long walk and if you are lucky, you will see a Cardinal (her favourite) along the way.
