Obituary for Paul James Kavanagh (Kavanagh)

It is with much love and heavy hearts that we mourn the death of Paul Kavanagh, of Aurora, Ontario on Sunday March 5th 2023, at the age of 69 years.
Paul was born in Gander, Newfoundland on May 28, 1953 and was the eldest seven siblings. In 1976, Paul settled in Toronto where he started his career as a welder. A consummate Leaf fan, a passionate lover of music, and supremely outgoing, Paul lived every moment to the fullest. Being in his presence made you feel like the world’s most important person.
In 1983, he met the love of his life and best friend, Gen. They would be together for over 40 years. Paul and Gen were inseparable. True companions, with a fierce love like none other, they traversed the world and went on to have many adventures together.
Paul will be lovingly remembered by his partner, Genevieve Lloyd; her children Mary (Douglas), Cathy, Henry (Linda), Bill, Sharon; siblings Mike, Bob (May), Jim, Maureen, Patricia (Brendan); grand-children James, Kevin, Rachel, Genny, Llewellyn; nieces and nephews Victoria, Dylan, Julie, Michael (Julianne), Stephen; Sister-in-Law Rosemary, as well as numerous relatives and friends.
Paul was predeceased by his loving parents James and Stella; brother Gerry; and his four-legged friend, his dog, Ted.
Cremation has taken place.
Family and friends are invited to meet at Our Lady of Grace Church (15347 Yonge St, Aurora, On) on Monday, March 13, 2023 for Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Cremation has taken place.

Memorial Donations may be made in Paul’s name to your local food bank or to the Scott’s Mission at 502 Spadina Ave, Toronto, ON M5S 2H1.
