Obituary

CROSBY, Rev. Dr. Grover W (Bth., D. Div)
May 1, 1937 - August 18, 2019

Passed quietly into the presence of his Lord, whom he had loved and served for a lifetime, on Sunday evening, August 18, 2019. Precious husband of Faith; Beloved Dad of Paul (Diana), Ruth (Terry), Steve (Yvonne) and David (Teresa). Much loved and fun grandpa of 18 grandchildren and great grandpa of 6. Grover was pastor at Park Road Bible Church (Toronto), Mountain Bible Church (Hamilton) and Grace Church (Newmarket), where he was instrumental in beginning Grace Church Day Care Centre and Newmarket and District Christian Academy. From 1985-2000 he ministered to national workers around the world as President and C.E.O. of Partners International. He then came onto the Pastoral staff of Richmond Hill Christian Community Church where he has served up until the present. Grover had a faithful, kind, compassionate heart that he poured out on his beloved family. He touched people around the world, and that passion included his church family. His tender impact has been felt in the lives of thousands. He will be greatly missed. A very special thank you to Dr. Baguio of Southlake Palliative Cancer Care, nurse Chandra and staff, and also to his beloved friend and G.P. Dr. Bob Chui. Visitation will take place at the Richmond Hill Christian Community Church, 9670 Bayview Ave., Richmond Hill, on Friday, August 23, 2019, from 2-5 p.m and on Saturday from 10-11 a.m. Funeral service to take place at the church on Saturday, August 24, 2019, at 11 a.m., followed by burial at Queensville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Partners International or the Mission Fund of the R.H.C.C.C. On-line condolences may be made at www.roadhouseandrose.com

We had our bans read and were married at Grace Church in Newmarket on June 13, 1981 by Pastor Crosby and have enjoyed over 38 years of marriage. He was a wonderful man and will be sorely missed. We would like to express our deepest condolences to the family.

Dear Faith: So very, very sorry to hear of Grover's passing. My memories go back many years to baseball teams we played on together. But we need to remember that “we don’t sorrow as others that have no hope”. What a great reunion we can look forward to one day. God bless, Roy Grant
