Obituary for Ronald Howard Leggitt
LEGGITT, Ronald
September 23, 1935 – August 15, 2022
Passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre on August 15, 2022 in his 87th year, with his beloved wife by his side. Loving husband of Barbara (nee Ephgrave) for 63 years. Cherished uncle, great uncle, and adopted grandpa. Brother of the late Elaine (Grant Reader) and Elsie (Brian Board). Son of the late Stanley Leggitt and Vera (nee Davis).
Ron was born on September 23rd, 1935. He spent his childhood with his devoted dog, “Pal”, and loved to ride the trains to visit his grandfather. Ron trusted the Lord as his Savior as a teenager. He received his CA degree from Queen’s University and spent his entire career in the field of accounting. Blessed with an affinity for numbers, Ron had a built-in calculator.
Ron married his childhood sweetheart, Barbara, who was the light of his life and best friend for over 63 years. They spent many years travelling and singing together. Ron always loved the bass! Ron enjoyed curling, golfing, and listening to Barbara play piano.
Always with a quick wit and dry humour, Ron’s stories will be forever remembered. Ron served the Lord by helping others behind the scenes. Dearly missed by family, friends, and the greater Newmarket community.
