Ruth and I became family over 40 years ago. I always told her she was 'my favorite Aunt', and that I hoped I could grow up to be like her. I will dearly miss her. Ann.

I met Ruth through the Mackenzie family. Alexa Mackenzie has been a great friend of mine for 40 or so years, not to mention the entire Mackenzie clan. :-)
I know Ruth as a grand companion to Murdoch Mackenzie, (Alexa's Father) and believe they provided great comfort and friendship to each other.
My condolences to the Laird and Mackenzie families.

I have such cherished memories of Ruth, we met shortly after our husbands passed away 26-27 years ago. We formed a Support Group, 6 ladies plus 2 ladies from the Funeral Home, who also became our friends. Ruth, Marjorie and I were the younger of the group and would do some travelling together. Ruth & Marjorie would travel on the Denure Tours bus each November to Panama City Beach, Florida. I was still working then and would fly down to spend a week or 10 days with them. Eventually, we all met our new partners, who knew each other, and the 6 of us would drive down to PCB for a month, we had such great times together. We also visited back and forth at home in Burlington, played lots of cards, a few social drinks and had a lot of fun together. Ruth will certainly be missed, but never forgotten. Rest In Peace our dear friend. With love, Carole and Tom xx

I have wonderful memories of Ruth at Holiday get togethers with the Currells. We always had a laugh and an extra large glass of wine. She will be greatly missed. Christine, Donald, Finn and Bertie.
