Obituary for Samuel David "Dave" Curran

Curran, Samuel David, “Dave”
Passed away at his home on Monday April 15, in his 92nd year.
Loving husband of the late Nora Curran. Predeceased by beloved daughter Vivien. Beloved father of Gary (Marney). Beloved father- in- law of Wes Brown (Joni).

Cherished Poppy to Kevin (Becky), Angela (Ian), Stefanie (Devon), and Trevor (Ana), and great grandchildren Derek, Danielle, Hannah, Evelyn, and Julianne.

A man of deep faith, Dave’s talents and interest were far-ranging. He held many roles throughout his working career, including manufacturing parts salesman and floral delivery driver. He also had a lifelong passion for art and music. Dave was trained as a traditional sign painter and produced the Heritage plaques for the Town of Newmarket well into his eighties. He played organ for a local church and served as choir director for the York Regional Police Male Chorus for many years. Dave always had a smile and a story for anyone who would listen!

Visitation at the Roadhouse and Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main St. S, Newmarket on Thursday April 18, from 7-9pm, and Friday April 19, from 10:30-11:30am prior to service at 11:30 in the chapel, followed by a reception.
