Passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket on Monday March 21st, 2022, in her 91st year.
Loving wife of the late James (1968). Beloved mother of the late Leslie Giles (2002) and Sandra McKay (Ken). Proud grandmother of Andrew (Courtney), Dylan and Jeffrey, and Sydney. Special aunt and great-aunt to many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Survived by her sister Frances Adams and predeceased by brothers Kenneth and Joseph. Daughter of the late Joseph and Bessie Jones.
Shirley was a strong and independent woman who raised her two daughters on her own after the early passing of her husband Jim. She was extremely kind and generous, offering boundless support to friends and family, and sharing her home and her love with all who knew her. Shirley was always ready with a warm and friendly smile.
Special thanks to the caring staff at Kingsway Place in Aurora where Shirley spent her final years.
Friends may call at Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street South, Newmarket on Sunday March 27th from 1 to 3 pm. A private family interment service at Pine Hills Cemetery in Toronto will follow in April.
