Obituary for Stanley Godovitz

Passed away peacefully surrounded by family at his side, at Bradford Valley Care Community (BVCC) on Sunday March 26th, 2023, in his 94th year.

Stan was predeceased by his wife Doreen (nee LeFeuvre). He leaves behind his daughters Debra LeFeuvre and Patti Wright (Steve) and son Glen (Lyn). Papa was beloved by his grandchildren Chris Manning (Amy), Amanda Manning (Katrina Dobson), Cassandra McCarron (Owen), Brittany Sepper (Mike), Brent and Jaclyn, along with his adorable great grandchildren Grace, Carter, Benjamin, Sydney, Jon, Reyna, Kaydence and Hayden.

Known to many as Duke, he was predeceased by his parents (Joseph and Josephine), his brothers Michael, Ted and John; as well as his sisters, Jean (Soloduik), Mary (Radzevick) and Frances (Volaine). Uncle Duke was also loved by his many nieces, nephews and their families.

Stan was an avid sports fan and loved to play and watch hockey, golf, tennis, baseball, etc. During his retirement he was awarded for his volunteer work as an Assistant Coach by Wasaga Minor Hockey.

Special thanks to the amazing staff at BVCC for the wonderful care and love.

Family and friends are welcome at a visitation, followed by a Celebration of Life to be held at Roadhouse and Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street, South, Newmarket on Saturday, April 1, 2023, from Noon until the celebration starts at 2:00p.m.
