Passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, August 1st, 2022 in his 61st year. Loving husband of Anne. Beloved father of Dana (Travis) and Shaelyn. Brother of Anitta (Glen) and Diane (Paul). Loving uncle of Krissy, Michael, Johnny, Lisa, Todd, Chloe, Sydney, Alyssa, Lucas, Nicolle, Dante, Garett, Alex, and Malcolm. Cherished son of Martha and the late John Mortensen.
Steve was a carpenter and worked for the Carpenter’s Union for 40 years. He was fortunate to retire 5 years ago. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed golfing, travelling, riding around Newmarket on his new e-Bike and making new friends wherever he went. He always had a story to tell and was happy to help anyone he could.
Visitation will be held at Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home on Sunday, August 7 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, August 8th in the Roadhouse & Rose chapel at 11:00 a.m.
Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice.
