Dimmell, Susan (nee Delves Broughton)
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, after bravely battling cancer, on October 17th, 2022 at Southlake Regional Health Centre in her 72nd year. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Loving wife of Clyde for 52 years. Beloved mother of Scott (Kim), Christopher (Krista), Mark, and Jason (Ryan). Proud Nana of Jonathon (Brittany), James, Mason, Madison, Maximillian, Manning, Mia, Samuel, Colton, and Great-Nana of Alexis. Survived by her brother Geoffrey Delves Broughton Bt and his wife Karen. Daughter of the late Evelyn and Peter Delves Broughton. Sue was born in England and moved to Canada at a young age. She made a career of raising her four boys and loved spending summer time at the cottage on Tasso Lake and travelling to escape winter. Sue spent many years breeding and showing her Vizslas throughout North America and still had time to curl up with her cats and a hot tea. Sue will forever be remembered for her love of quilting, teaching and all things sewing. The family would like to thank the incredible staff at Southlake, especially Dr. Bouttell and Nurse Allison. Friends may share in a Celebration of Life at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main St. S., Newmarket, on Friday, October 28th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., speeches will be shared at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Southlake Foundation in her name.
