Obituary for Warren Allen Pettifer

Pettifer, Warren Allen - Passed away peacefully at South Lake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket, on Tuesday November 30th, 2021 at the age of 90. Loving Husband of Barbara Pettifer (nee Cowie). Beloved father of Christopher (Sandra). Proud Grandfather of Tarra (Brandon), Keerstin and Craig. Son of the late Elgin and Julia Pettifer.

Warren was a Locomotive Engineer for CNR/VIA Rail for 38 years. Retired for 32 years. Warren volunteered as a Lion for the Lion’s Club from 1973. He spent his time coaching hockey and participating in many events in Pefferlaw. Citizen of the year in 1992 at Georgina Township. In his later years he and Barbara travelled and spent a lot of time with family and friends. As Warren would say, “he had a great life”.

Friends may call at the Roadhouse and Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street South in Newmarket on Saturday December 11, 2021 for visitation at 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm followed by the Funeral Service at 2:30 pm. Internment at a later date.

If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army of York Region.
