Obituary for Wendy Margaret Roncone (Hendrick)
RONCONE (nee Hendrick), Wendy Margaret - March 14, 1951 - September 11, 2022
Passed away suddenly at home on September 11th, 2022 at 71 years of age. Loving wife of Ron Roncone for 51 years and dearly loved mother of Stacey Barron (Ivan), Leslie (Rob Green), and James (Zariina). An unbelievably proud grandma to Briar, Addison, Kelan, Lucas, Landon and Colton. Survived by her brother Alfie Lunaitis and sister-in-law Anne Hendrick and predeceased by her brother Charlie Hendrick and sister Pat Lacorte. Daughter of the late Charles and Mary Hendrick. She worked as a very dedicated RN at Scarborough General and Scarborough Grace for 40 years in the area of mental health; changing many lives over her career. She was known for helping others in many different capacities whether that was lending an ear to listen, donating to those in need (locally or in Cuba), and being there for her friends and family, especially her grandkids. She was a valued volunteer within the community, often helping at the Community Bread and at St. John Chrysostom Church in Newmarket.
Visitation will be on September 16th, 2022 from 9:00 am - 11:00 am, followed by a Celebration of Life from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Roadhouse and Rose.
A graveside service will take place on Thursday September 22, 2022 at 11:00 am at St. John's Cemetery.
If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Community Bread (St. John Chrysostom Church), Inn from the Cold or a charity of your choice supporting a homeless or mental health initiative in your area.
