Passed away peacefully at Margaret Bahen Hospice in Newmarket, on Wednesday, July 7th, 2021, in her 59th year. Beloved mother of Tiffany Bauer (Jonathan Bauer) and Charlotte Bruneau (Kyle Panama). Proud grandmother of Lorelei, Addison, Jana, Ethan, Wolfgang, and Pearl. Sister of Theresa, Rita (Aubrey, deceased), John (deceased) wife Marie, Joseph (Minnie), Susan (Edmund), Donald (Greta), Vince, Ray (Jean), Daphne (Gervais), Georgina, Chris (Norma), Sharon (Carson). Auntie of many nieces and nephews.
Daughter of the late John Corbett and Mary Corbett (nee Cooney).
Yvonne was born on April 22, 1963 in St. John's, Newfoundland. She graduated from Bishop O'Neil High School. Yvonne moved to Ontario in 1986. She was a stay-at-home mom to Tiffany and Charlotte until 1999 when she began working in the kitchen at the Briar's Resort in Jackson's Point. She enjoyed her many years there before moving onto the Locale Restaurant in Aurora, and most recently cooking and prepping food for Chartwell Park Place Retirement Residence in Aurora. Yvonne adored animals, owned a million scarves, and loved God and her family fiercely.
Yvonne's wishes were to have a celebration of life with family in Newfoundland at a later date, so there will be no funeral or memorial service held here in Ontario. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Southlake, Princess Margaret Hospital, and Margaret Bahen Hospice for the care and treatment they provided over the past two years.
