Condolence: It's hard to know what to say. Obviously, Nonna was a sweet, kind, and humorous woman! But there was much more to her than that!....which I cannot easily summarize. I spent much of my time with her in your presence, but I also spent a lot of time with her alone...she was so accepting and loving and had a great impact on my life. I have so many memories of her but, there is a special memory I have of her where I was in a situation that was quite embarrassing and she happened to find me as I was trying to "cover it up" and I said," I need to do this because..."(I was at a loss of words, at the precarious situation in which I found myself)" and she said, in English, "just because", and we smiled at each other and that was that. Thank you dear Nonna, and rest in peace.
