Condolence: We have all lost a wonderful man.
We remember your wedding,
the birth of your son and daughter,
his pleasant smile,
his happiness,
his politeness,
and him always helping the old folks when necessary at family functions.
He will be missed greatly, but most of all really fondly not forgotten.
There are no words to say except how sorry we are for the lose in your heart.
Thinking of you daily.

Condolence: Cathleen and family,
My heartfelt sympathy to you and your family for this tragic loss.
Although we spoke only sporadically over the years, he remains in my memory as a kind and decent man, with a good dash of humour.
You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Condolence: Cousin Cathleen & Family,
I am numbed by this tragic news. I had just spoken to him on the phone on Thursday. In that conversation, at top of mind, was his new (and his first) grandson, just over a week young. Always smiling and never rocked by life's many challenges, Derek's manner could best be described as calm determination. He will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. I was one of those lucky ones.

Our deepest condolences in the loss of your beloved husband, father and grandfather. We will always remember Derek's big smile, kindness and generosity in support of my brother and nephews during their sudden loss two years ago. Derek had such a huge contagious smile and we always immensely enjoyed our conversations with him. We are thinking of all of you at this very sad time.

God Bless!
