Condolence: As cousins we spent many summers together on your parent’s farm in Melbourne. I remember the hay cart, playing in the barn, walking with your brother and Grandpa Laing, and who could forget the “swimming hole” in the creek that ran at the side of the property. Your good nature and spirit of adventure made those summers fun for this city boy. As young adults we saw each other periodically and talked about what lay ahead for us and looked to our futures. As adults we got caught up in our own lives and lost touch. I will treasure my memories of you as a young boy and young man; your positive outlook, your sense of fun, your gentle spirit and your optimism.
