Condolence: It is so sad that the last of the Robinson girls has passed away. Edith, Annie, Dot, (Dorothy), Olive and Eleanor were all vibrant girls brought up to care for family, friends, and their community. Aunt Eleanor and Russ had a long and happy marriage as did Aunt Eleanor's sisters. Unfortunately, in today's world, long term marriages are not as common. Perhaps we should look at the give and take, love, and friendships Aunt Eleanor's generation has demonstrated over the years, and better appreciate the importance of family. I never saw a frown on Aunt Eleanor's face in all the years I knew her, and I was always amazed at her "sense of adventure". She and Uncle Russ spent so much time at the cottage at Kahshe Lake. They would drive north, park outside a small shop in winter and ski-doo to the cottage. So much for a girl raised in downtown Toronto! Russ and Eleanor loved every moment at Kahshe Lake, all seasons. I remember the "Robinson Clan reunions" at the cottage. My sons loved jumping off the cliff just outside the cottage. Eleanor and Russ also had all the toys, sea-doos, a wonderful beach, boats, the island, the cliff, and indoor plumbing! For the "boys", Uncle Russ had an island with a cabin and in the fall the brother-in-laws and Uncle Russ would fish and hunt, amongst other things. Aunt Eleanor was kind, caring of her family and others. At ninety one she had lived a wonderful life, if only all of us could do so. I know she has missed Russ immensely over the last years, missed all the time she and Russ had spent at Kahshe Lake, and would have loved being able to return to the cottage. Many thanks to the McAulay family for their friendship to both Eleanor and Russ over the years. I wish there were more neighbors and friends, like you. Aunt Eleanor, I will miss you, as will my sons, Andrew, Neill, Michael and Nicholas. You will also be missed by Andrew's partner Sarah and their baby daughter, Abby, your great, great niece. Her middle name is Dorothy, after Grandma Dot, your sister, a wonderful sentiment. May you tap dance your way to heaven, dance with Uncle Russ, reminisce over times past, and your star in the night sky will shine brightly over your family and friends. We will all miss you.

Condolence: Although your passing is very sad, we will always remember all of the good times the Robinson clan had. Your cottage, Auntie Dot and Uncle Bud's cottage and especially the time spent at Christmas every year where everyone came together. You have been waiting for almost seven years to see Uncle Russ again and he was there with open arms to greet you along with your brother Billy, your Dad, your Mom, Dot, Gord, Bud, Stan, Edith, Ann, Olive, Al and Donnie. So when we look up at stars, heaven will be a little brighter.

Condolence: I would like to reflect and celebrate your life Aunt Eleanor. I will always remember you and Uncle Russ spontaneously dropping in on me at our home on Yardley Ave, in East York before we moved to North Bay and how I missed that after our move. However we all enjoyed, so much having you and Uncle Russ come to spend Christmas with us just only a year before Uncle Russ passed. We will always remember this. I will never forget the great Robinson family get togethers including as a kid going to your house for a family skate on Uncle Russ's backyard rink, or visiting the Kashe Lake cottage in the summer for a great day of fun. You and Uncle Russ made a lasting and enriching impression on us all.
You will always be remembered.

Condolence: Eleanor,

As we lay you to rest and celebrate your life I will always cherish the times we spent together, from swims at the cottage to simply spending time during the holidays. I will remember the past few Chirstmas eve dinners and the laughs we shared. I'm glad we had the opportunity grow our relationship when you moved to Aurora, I know it was a difficult move to make but seeing the joy you felt with the new friends and life you made brought a smile to us all.

You will be sadly missed but we know you are now at peace and reunited with uncle Russ. Rest in peace Eleanor.

Love,

-Rob, Sarah & Smith
