It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Dave on Thursday, August 11th, 2016, just shy of his 84th birthday. Loving husband of the late Lola Elizabeth (Betty) of P.E.I. Beloved father of Mary-Jane and Susan. Very proud Poppa of Eliza Jane and Caroline. Predeceased by his brother Robert and sister Rosemary McLeay. Dave was a retired civil engineer and successful thoroughbred horse breeder with his stable Lady Slipper Farm. Friends may call at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main St. South, Newmarket for visitation on Sunday, August 14th from 2-5 p.m. Funeral service to be held at Christ Church, Kettleby on Monday, August 15th at 2 p.m. Interment of his ashes to take place at a later date at Argyle Shore Cemetery, P.E.I. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers to the LongRun Thoroughbred Retirement Society.
