ERNST, Loida Mamenta, Passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket, on Saturday, July 15, 2017, in her 79th year. Loving wife of Gerhard aka "Gerry" for 51 years. Devoted mother of Eric (Bronwen) and Peter (Lilibeth). Proud grandmother of Julian, Elena, Tristan and Gerald. Beloved sister of the late Felix Mamenta II, the late Manuel Mamenta, Linda Ramos, Norma English and Noemi Millan. Dear daughter of the late Felix and Marceliana Mamenta. Loida was educated at Luna Colleges (Tayug) and St. Luke's Hospital (Manila). After arriving in the USA, Loida eventually settled in Toronto, where she worked as a caring nurse at the Toronto Western Hospital until her retirement in 2003. Loida enjoyed spending time in her gardens and was a devoted fan of the Toronto Blue Jays. Special thanks to the staff at Southlake.
