PARSONS, Linda Miriam
Passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Hospital, Newmarket, on Monday, October 29, 2018, at the age of 76. Beloved wife of Ken Parsons and dear and much loved mother of Melissa Williams and Joanna (Richard) Gardner. Loving grandmother and best friend of Jade. She will be sadly missed by her cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Linda was a very active member of The United Church of Canada, both within her own congregation, and the wider National church. She has left behind a legacy of faithful leadership, selfless sacrifice, and love that will be missed by many whose lives have been touched by her strength and determination. In particular she served with a passionate heart on the work of Mission and Service Fund and lent her strong and determined voice to building right relations with our Indigenous sisters and brothers both before and after the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's work.

A Celebration of her life will take place at Trinity United Church, 168 Main Street South, Newmarket, on Saturday, November 10, 2018, at 1 p.m. with visitation one hour prior in the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation, Native Women's Association of Canada, or the Mission and Service Fund of the United Church of Canada.
