BUCKLAND, Laurie John – Leaving broken hearts behind, Laurie passed away peacefully at home with his family at his side, after a short but valiant fight with cancer. He leaves “the light and love of his life” Renee, his much loved and respected sons Jordan (Dawn) and Jeremy (Andrea), his adored grandchildren Quinn, Grace, Marlee, Rowan, Lohan and Jessa who brought him great joy. Laurie also leaves his loving and loved sisters Patricia (Harry) and Charlotte as well as his dear sister-in-law Margie and brothers-in-law Harry, Neil, and Allan, cousin-in-law Jane and many nieces and nephews. He will be sorely missed by his mother-in-law Lena and Aunt Marg. Laurie is predeceased by his parents Ellen and Len Buckland and father-in-law Neil Currie. Special love and thanks to Laurie’s “brother” and best buddy Paul Berry. Thank you as well to Dr. Bill Fetherston and nurse Muriel Cartner for their help and compassion during this very difficult time. Laurie was a long-time member of the Canadian Professional Golf Association and was a much respected golf professional at the Aurora Highlands Golf Club, Bradford Highlands and most recently was the Director of Golf at Wooden Sticks Golf Club in Uxbridge.
