Three Musketeers

I had the pleasure of being one of the “Three Musketeers” at Summitview P.S. Rob, Marie and I all started teaching together back in September of ’91. Being the rookies in a school of veterans was a great experience for all three of us. Life takes us in many different directions so I haven’t seen Rob for many years, but reading the shared stories of Rob lets me know that he has always remained and forever will be remembered as the “Gentle Giant”. He was always up for an interesting physical challenge like bouncing a ball backwards off the wall, over the backboard and into the basketball net. He would smile and explain the reason for attempting the highly unlikely shot as follows; “If you miss, no one was expecting you to score it in the first place, but if you make it, you are a Hero!” Rob was the one who taught me how to juggle and he will always be with me every time I pick up three objects and start to toss them. We have lost a good one, my thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. My sincere sympathies, Gary Barnard
