The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Marcel Lambert can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

I was the City Sales Manager for the Central Zone from 1995 - 1998 and was fortunate to work under Marcel's leadersip.

He was a great guy and no matter how much pressure was coming down on him he always put on a positive face and did his very best to lift his people up and lead them through adversity.

I loved his animated ways, his sense of humour and his compassion. He was always inclusive and I always felt his support. He could be hard when he had to be but just as quickly he would find a way to soften his blow with a witty comment, a pat on the back or one of his famous poker stares followed by a bright smile and a laugh.

As I moved through my automotive career I gained much wisdom and I picked up many sayings; but the best ones came from Marcel. When I questioned him about why we would do something so quickly he would look at me right in the eyes and say "ready, fire, aim". Of course I learned that sometimes you need to take action and fine tune later. On another occasion I asked him why we weren't doing this or we weren't doing that and he would say "We're building the plane as we fly it". I loved that about him. He was always able to connect your concerns with some kind of saying or comment that you could walk away with and think about. Inevitably the light would come on!

Marcel was a great guy and he left his mark on me. I am honoured to have known him.

I wish the entire Lambert family strength at this difficult time. May your fond memories fo Marcel carry you forward in the weeks and months ahead.

Sincerely,

Colin Thompson
