I went to work at the Burger Bar at about 15 years old as the 'chip boy', peeling potatoes and cutting up the chips. Worked for Gay for a year or so moving up to burger cooker and counter server. Always fond memories of my time there, and for instilling in me a good work ethic. In some ways it seems a lifetime ago working there, other times just a few years. I haven't kept in touch with my growing up friends from Newmarket, but nonethless they come to mind often. Prayers and condolences to the O'Malley family.
