Life Story for Albert Edward KNIGHTON

KNIGHTON, Albert Edward (Ted) ARICS, AACI, MAI: Peacefully at his residence in Newmarket, after a long battle with cancer, on Saturday, February 24th, 2007, amidst the love and care of his family. Beloved husband of 54 years of Marie (nee Bradley) and devoted father of Judy and her husband Roy Richards and Jim and his wife Robin. He will be lovingly remembered by his granddaughters Brittany and Katherine. Ted is predeceased by his brother John. Dear brother-in-law to Mabel Knighton, Margaret (Mrs. Fred Moorcroft) and Michael Bradley and uncle to several nieces and nephew all in England. Ted was a member of the Grenadier Guards during WW 2, and following the war a Chartered Surveyor in England. After immigrating to Canada in 1953, Ted worked as a Mortgage Manager and a Professional Real Estate Appraiser. Always a family man, he also enjoyed gardening and cottage life. Friends may call at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main St. S., Newmarket, from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, February 28th. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, March 1st, followed by cremation. Memorial donations to Southlake Regional Health Centre Foundation (new cancer unit) or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to all of Ted’s health care team who provided wonderful care and support, over the last two years, at Southlake Hospital and through PalCare Network, CCAC, SRT and Paramed and especially Dr. MacKinnon, Dr. Green and Dr. Weingarten
