EDWARDS, ALICE CHARLOTTE (nee SMITH) At the age of 95, Alice passed away peacefully on Friday, February 24, 2006 at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket. She was predeceased by her loving husband Bernie in 1994, and her two sons Lenny in 1986 and Wally in 2000. She is survived by her remaining six children: Ronnie (Lillian), Diane (Bill Whitburn), Patrick, Sharon (Paul Fortin), Bill (Sue), Mary (Jim Crane), and also by her sister Jeanetta MacIntosh. Alice was born in New Brunswick and left for Ontario as a teenager. In her early 20's, she met and married Bernie in Toronto and together they had 8 children. She lived on Kane Ave. for over 60 years, and recently moved to Oshawa. Alice also leaves a legacy of over a dozen grandchildren and a dozen great-grandchildren. After cremation, there will be a service on Thursday, March 2 at 11 a.m. at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street South, Newmarket.
