Life Story for Allan David Patterson

PATTERSON, Allan David - It is with great sadness that Allan's family announces his passing, early in the morning of Wednesday June 17th, at Southlake Regional Health Centre; following a valiantly fought battle with cancer. Al was happiest surrounded by family and friends. He enjoyed time spent boating on the waters of Georgian Bay and was always up for a game of golf. He will always be remembered as a man who loved life large and always with a very caring and giving heart. Al devoted many years to what he called "The car Business" as a leasing manager at North York Chev Olds. Beloved partner and best friend to Sharon Mckay; Al is survived by his daughter Meaghan Patterson and sons, Michael Patterson, Jamie Patterson and stepson Michael McKay. Al leaves behind 7 Grandchildren, Max, Jake, Liam, Clayton, Austin, Haley and Cody. Al is survived by his brother, Bill Patterson, his wife Wendy and their children Nicole and Greg. Al's family would like to express their sincere thanks to all the nurses and doctors at Southlake and Princess Margaret, who did their best in giving Al every possible chance. We will be always grateful for the care and compassion they provided. A celebration of Al's life will be held at Madsen's, 160 Bayview Parkway, in Newmarket on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 from 2 – 5 p.m. Memorial Donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society, or to The OSPCA. Online condolences may be made at www.roadhouseandrose.com.
"When I come to the end of the road and the sun has set for me, I want no rites in a gloom filled room. Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little, but not too long and not with your head bowed low. Remember the love that we all shared, miss me but let me go. "
