GUARDA, Angela Teresa – Passed away at William Osler Health Centre / Etobicoke General Hospital on Saturday, February 10th, 2007, in her 97th year. Predeceased by her loving husband Antonio Valentino in 1977. She was predeceased by daughter Cora Tkachuk and her husband Terence. Beloved mother to daughter Elsa Guarda-Dunn and son Iseo John Guarda and his wife Kathryn. Proud grandmother of Marlene Payne, Susan Souckey, Anthony Dunn, Brenda Guarda, Paula Dunn, Terry Tkachuk and Micheal Dunn. Great grandmother of Claire McGee, Lauren Payne and Octavia Murumets-Dunn. Daughter of the late Giovanni Pellizzer and Luigia Margaretta Brodin. Angela frequently attended masses at St. John Chrysostom Church, Newmarket, several times a week. She was deeply involved with her family and consequently was equally generous with all members of her family. She was an avid gardener, an accomplished seamstress and a gourmet cook. Friends may call at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main St. S., Newmarket for visitation on Wednesday, February 14th, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to take place at St. John Chrysostom Church, 432 Ontario St., Newmarket, on Thursday, February 15th, at 1 p.m., followed by interment at John’s Cemetery.
