Dear Betty and family,

On behalf of myself and the Breen family I would like to express condolences to you all. Our mom, Thelma Breen always thought of you both as the "young" members of the Sharon group. Even though we lived" all the way" at the other end of the street. you were very much a part of our growing up. Duncan ( oh my gosh! Mr. Drummond) was always well respected. Our thoughts are with you even though we can't be there right now.

On behalf of the Domen family I would like to express our sincere heartfelt condolences to Betty and the entire Drummond family. We have so many fond memories of "Mr Drummond" and the Drummond clan while living diagonally across the road from one another in Sharon for many years. It was always a pleasure to cross paths and reminisce on all the fun times that we shared together. Duncan was highly respected by the Domen family and will be sadly missed!!! Our apologies that we were not able to pay our last respects in person to Betty and family during this difficult time. With deepest sympathy, the Domens

To Betty and family, we wish to offer our sincere condolences and prayers to you at the loss of Duncan, a long-time cherished member of St. Elizabeth Seton Parish. Your commitment to marriage and family was a testimony to all of who knew Duncan and you.
Personally, I had the privilege of working with Duncan on numerous Parish projects or events over the years, one of which I offer for your recollection: it is when we were preparing to sell the Our Lady of Good Counsel Church across the street from your former home. We were "salvaging" as many items from the Church as we could for posterity sake. Fr. Matt wanted to auction off the pews, keep the altar, and numerous artifacts from the Church, one of which was the bell in the tower. Duncan and one of his sons (don't recall which one), volunteered to help take down the bell from the tower so as to preserve it for the Parish. The hope was that one day we could mount it in the foyer of S.E.S. Church. He kept it in his garage and had it cleaned up before we figured out what we were going to do with it.
That's just a small example of how Duncan was always ready to help in any way he could, even when it was obvious that he was suffering from physical ailments.
We pray for Duncan's soul, confident in his restful peace in the arms of our Lord.
God bless, Deacon Brian & Marguerite Mason (St. Joseph's Parish, Powassan, ON.)
