GALBRAITH, Margaret Evelyn (1915 – 2007) - Peacefully January 15 at Mackenzie Place Newmarket, 4 weeks prior to her 92nd birthday. Margaret (nee Ramore), devoted wife of E. James Galbraith, was predeceased by “Jigger” in 1991 having enjoyed 55 years together. She was especially proud of completing her life fully, managing her affairs independently. She is fondly remembered for her long, healthy and happy life by her daughter Melanie and son-in-law Matt (Calgary), her son Sandy and his wife Seija (Calgary), and her son John and his wife Marilyn (Newmarket). She was a very proud grandmother to Cynthea, Ian, Craig and Davin Galbraith. Margaret was born, educated and married in Stratford Ontario. She was predeceased by her brothers Jack and Ken Ramore. She resided in Newmarket for more than 60 years of her life. A kind and dedicated mother, she provided guidance and active support for her children’s accomplishments, including several years of involvement in the Newmarket Figure Skating Club. Her family thanks the caring staff at Southlake Health Centre and Mackenzie Place. At Margaret’s request, there is no funeral service and cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, the family will welcome donations to a charity of your choice. A family committal service will take place at a later date when Margaret will be placed to rest beside her husband and other family members at Stratford Avon cemetery.
