HATHWAY-GOULD, Evelyn Mae (nee Dove) –
Peacefully at Aurora Resthaven on Thursday October 1st, 2009, in her 76th year. Predeceased by her husband Kenneth Gould and survived by her 1st husband and friend Bruce Hathway. Mother of Pat (Dan) and the late Gordon (Lynn). Lovingly remembered by her granddaughters Nicole and Roxanne and great grandson Dustin. Sister of Gordon, Wayne and Larry Koepke, Debbie Indoe and the late Jack. Evelyn was a 20 year volunteer with the Auxiliary at York County Hospital where she was especially proud of her volunteer time on the Palliative Care Unit. She was also a longtime volunteer at the J.L.R. Bell Public School. A funeral service will be held at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main St. S., Newmarket on Monday at 2 pm, with visitation at 1 pm. Interment at the Newmarket Cemetery will follow. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of York Region would be appreciated. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Rev. Michael Darrach, nurses and staff at Aurora Resthaven and the staff at J.L.R. Bell School for their support and understanding while Evelyn was in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease.
