I have struggled for some time to find the words and the ability to say something that matters about Gerry. I still find it hard to believe he's gone and trying to find some sense in it. I have fond memories of Gerry and how he could always make me laugh. Bronwin, I'm so very sorry for your loss and that your kids know this pain so early in life - there is absolutely nothing that can replace a father. We will miss you Gerry.

This tribute is dedicated to a Hero and the legacy of kindness he left behind. Gerry was a great friend, mentor, inspirational leader and 911 Brother. He was a decent, kind and humble gentleman. I will never forget the first day I met him or the last conversation we had. It saddens me to think that I will never be able to see him smile again. Gerry had the ability to walk into a room and make everyone laugh. We often joked with Gerry and other previous TPS Officers that it was simply 'a Toronto Thing' that made us all connect since we all served with both services. They say that to measure the true success of any individual you need to look at the family that always stood by him. Gerry was a proud family man and for that he was truly respected. My heartfelt condolences to all his loved ones. Gerry was a grateful guy that made everyone around him understand the true value of life. There are no words to describe how much his presence will be missed. Gerry, you were a cool guy that always remained true to yourself and that is something to be admired. Thank you for making a difference and for being the greatest example to your family and friends. May you rest in peace my Friend. I salute you! Respectfully, your 911 Sister Toni.
