Life Story for Glenda HENNIGER

HENNIGER, Glenda (nee MacAlpine) – Died Sunday January 14th, 2007, at her home in Toronto, at age 42. Beloved wife of Peter. Fondly loved by her parents, Glenn and Claire MacAlpine of Newmarket, her twin brother Cameron (Alison), younger brothers Mark (Jodi) and Andrew (Wendy). Loved and admired by her in-laws, Jim and Isabel Henniger, Rachel Knapp and Matt Henniger. Special aunt to Monika, Brooke, Kennedy and Mack; Holly; Paige, Sasha and Jillian MacAlpine; Jack Byrne; Colin and Grace Knapp. Glenda was a French teacher. After she became ill, she developed her talents in music, water colour painting, photography and writing. She was a strong advocate of preserving Toronto’s heritage and worked hard with others within the built heritage movement. She will be greatly missed. Friends may call at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main St. S., Newmarket, on Wednesday, January 17th, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place at St. John’s Chrysostom Church, Ontario St., Newmarket on Thursday, January 18th, at 1:00 p.m., followed by cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Toronto Cancer Prevention Coalition or the Breast Cancer Research and Education Fund of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
