Condolence: I am the Community Information Coordinator at the Newmarket Public Library and met Glenn when he came in to drop off some of his brochures and discuss the possibility of him doing a presentation at the library. We then ran into each other at Persechini's. Glenn and I had some great conversation during our brief encounters and, when I told him I had a social work degree, he told me he thought I had what it takes to be a great social worker and, when I was ready, I should follow my dream to get my masters degree and become a counsellor. I respected his advice and our discussions always boosted my confidence. He always had a kind word for me when our paths crossed at Persechini's or the library. I haven't seen Glenn in about two years and was saddened to read about his passing. I was intrigued to read that Glenn and I shared a few little things in our lives. Since I last spoke to Glenn, my daughter has had two babies, one whom she named Willow and the other Avalon Rose. I also found it interesting that one of his family has the surname Lobe and my daughter's married name is Loube. I was sad that I hadn't had the opportunity to discover this during a conversation with Glenn. My sympathies go out to Glenn's family. I only knew him briefly and feel my life was made brighter with each of our encounters. You must miss him terribly.
