Life Story for Hazel Ellen Alcock

ALCOCK, Hazel Ellen (nee Neal) – Passed away peacefully at Bradford Valley Long Term Care in Bradford, on Wednesday October 14th, 2009 at 91 years of age. Loving wife of Cecil Alcock (deceased). Beloved Mother of Robert Cook and his wife Laura-Mae, Barry Cook and his wife Kathi, Jamie Alcock and his wife Donna. Proud Grandmother of Sheila Cook, Sharon Cook-Cumming, Mark Cook, Kelly Cook (deceased), Dan Cook, Haley Alcock, and Thomas Alcock. Great Grandmother of Tessa, Sarah, Lucy, and Gordon. Survived by her sister Velma Payne. Predeceased by her parents Stella (Edwards) and George Neal and brother Emerson Neal. Hazel was born in Whitchurch Township, Ontario and was a long time resident of Aurora and Newmarket. She served as a Canadian Cancer Society volunteer for over 25 years. She was an avid creator of beautiful handwork some of which will be displayed. Friends may call at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main St. S., Newmarket on Tuesday October 20th from 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday 21st at 2:00 pm. Private interment will be at a later date at Aurora Cemetery.
