DAVIS-PUCHKOWSKI, Helen Minnie

Born in Port Credit on July 13, 1944 and passed away at home in Newmarket on Saturday October 24, 2009 at 65 years of age. A ‘Classylady’ with a joyful and helpful imaginative personality has left us after spirited fight with lung and liver cancer. She leaves behind her brothers Larry and Rick, her loving daughters, Yvonne (Tony), Claudette (Roy) and Marianne. Proud grandmother of Justin, Devin, Emily and Adam. Her husband Peter M. Puchkowski helped her through her fight and eased her way during the final journey. Helen would like to thank Scholastic Book Clubs, Avon Canada, The Good Time Bunch, The Red Hat Revelling Roses of York, Community Care Access Centre personnel, and her friends and neighbours for the support and best wishes during these times. Friends may call at the Roadhouse and Rose Funeral Home 157 Main St. S., Newmarket on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday from 2 p.m. until time of funeral service in the chapel at 3 p.m. followed by cremation. As this is a celebration of Helen’s life, dark funeral clothes should be avoided, but light colour co-ordinated outfits are encouraged.
