Life Story for Mary Susana Enns

Mary Susana Enns
Mary Susana Enns (nee Sarapuk)
October 16, 1956 – December 08, 2009

Wife, Mom, Sister, Friend, World Traveler, Sears Store Manager, Copywriter,…
Mary called herself all these, but she was also a Cancer Survivor. Diagnosed with advanced breast cancer in 2002 at only 45-she lived the next 7.5 years to the fullest, traveling the world with Don, her husband of 31 years and lifelong soul mate. She always had the next trip figured out and together with Don, traveled from Fiji to Istanbul, from Paris to the N.W.T. and was most disheartened when she was ‘grounded’ as a result of cancer treatments. Mary was incredibly proud of her daughters, Kylie and Erin and her greatest regret was to miss being part of their adult years. Our nuclear family of 4 plus Sydney the dog lived a happy life with Mary as our heart center. She is predeceased by parents Andrew and Anne. She will be missed by brother Peter (Deannie), sisters Irene (Tony), Gloria (Len), Jeannie (Hugh) and Sally (Willie) and parent Dave Enns(pre-deceased by Marion) and many friends. Mary will always be remembered for her ready smile, blue eyes, and good heart. Mary’s determination took her through endless rounds of cancer treatments which she handled with strength, humor, and will. She was our hero. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Mary’s Life will take place at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main St. S., Newmarket on Monday December 14th, 2009 at 1 p.m. with an hour of visitation prior to the service. A Celebration Tree will be planted in Newmarket’s Fairy Lake Park where Mary spent many hours walking with Sydney. In lieu of flowers, Mary has asked donations be sent to Doane House Hospice in Newmarket, Southlake Cancer Clinic or Cdn Breast Cancer Foundation, and that you give the woman in your life and extra hug today in her memory.
