Life Story for Robert Arthur

Robert Arthur
ARTHUR, Robert (just call me Bob)
Dad in his 93rd year, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 6, 2009 at his residence in Barrie. Devoted husband for 59 years to Mildred Rosa (predeceased 2007). Proud father to Marylyn (Joel), Shirley, Walter, Eileen & Jim Arthur. Loving grandfather to Todd and Bradon Joel, Reid Arthur, Rhys and Zoe Lanaway. Bob was posted overseas in WWII. He was president of T. Arthur Ltd. which grew with brothers Jack and Al into R.J. Lucas and Arthur’s Ltd., a meat packing operation. He was an avid sports fan, loved to tinker at the Lake Joseph cottage, photograph family and stayed busy upon retiring making furniture and playing bridge. His leadership and guidance to the family was deeply appreciated and will be missed. The family thanks Leisureworld Caregiving Centre, Barrie, for their kindness and care given during his final months. A private family interment will be held Thursday, September 10th at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
