CAR, Ana – March 17, 1921 – October 4, 2015. Passed away peacefully at Newmarket Health Centre on October 4th, 2015 at 94 years of age. Beloved mother of Lidija Brown and son-in-law Allan Brown. Proud grandmother of Allan, Michael and Melitta. Great grandmother of Jaedyn, Jaxin and Madalyn.
Ana Car was born in Croatia on the 17th of March 1921. She lived in three countries during her 94 years of life. Croatia, South Africa and finally laid to rest in Canada.
Ana had four children, Peter, Frank, Mark and her only daughter Lidija. Ana enjoyed life with her wonderful grandchildren in Canada, Allan, Michael and Melitta. She will also be sadly missed by her other grandchildren Nicolas, Mathieu and Justeen. Ana had three wonderful great-grandchildren, Jaedyn, Jaxin and Madalyn Ana.
Ana will be sadly missed by her in-laws, Courtney, Danielle and Mark and their respective families.
Ana was fondly known as “Nona” and family and friends will remember Ana’s wonderful humour and loving heart.
Rest in Peace Mama/Nona.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Newmarket on Wednesday October 7th, 2015 at 10:30 a.m.
