Mark Ugrin

Anka Ugrin nee Car It is hard to believe she is no longer with us, not just because she was ill the last few years, nor because she was such a fighter - but because she was our Mama / Nona. Most, if not all of you, will know that she had a bad fall and had to have a hip operation. Over the course of few years she got progressively worse. But I want to tell you more about Mama / Nona. For most of her life she was always busy when we were young and after we all grew up and left home she was always busy. - she loved cooking and especially enjoyed making pancakes / palecinke – for her grandchildren. She also loved sewing and spent many evenings at her sewing machine making all sorts of things but she especially enjoyed making outfits for her grandchildren when they were toddlers. There was always so much colour in her garments. I have a very important 'thank you' to extend; - to Lidija and Alan for taking care of Mama from when she arrived in Canada. Lidija and Alan you allowed Mama to continue to live at your home, surrounded by the grandchildren, people and things she loved. Thank you. It was all of you that helped to keep her so vital and happy right to the end. So finally Mama / Nona you will always be our loving mother. This is only a goodbye to your worldly body. Your love will continue to guide us. We will talk to you every day. We love you our darling Mama / Nona. Thank you so much for being you. You will always be remembered and have a special place in all our hearts……..xxxxxxxx Marko, Bernadette, Nicolas and Megan, Mathieu and Anthony.
