Ivan was an interesting "character" indeed. We will never forget he and Watson Sweezie's combined Newmarket political antics during the 80s; entertaining democracy for sure ! One election Watson ran for Mayor and Ivan ran for Region; poor incumbent Mayor Twinney was surrounded and harassed by these 2 characters at every All Candidate's meeting that year. Afterwards Ivan wrote a very short book on the experience. It was called "Storm and Stress on the Campaign Trail". I have it on my lap as I create this message. Ivan was selling them for $5 per copy. I bought one copy; gave Ivan $10; still waiting for my change. Ivan wins again ! So many other stories; so little time. Rest well Ivan; I enjoyed knowing you.
