The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of William Savage can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Donations made to Egbe Hospital, Egbe Nigeria

The Savage family donated many items of medical ilk and others to the Egbe (Missionary) Hospital in Egbe, Nigeria.  Here are excerpts from the thank you letter from Don Campion, Project Lead and the Egbe team who appreciated every item they receive.  Photos from/of Egbe can be viewed in this memoir.

“It was mentioned that some great items were dropped off in time to make the next Egbe-bound container.  Just wanted to thank you on behalf of the whole team for thinking of us.

We had a great trip to Egbe in May.

We had some great meetings with the hospital staff on our last trip as we planned for the months ahead with new buildings under construction and shipping containers needed.  Is it a joy to see the progress continuing and the many answers to prayer!

We are finishing up an isolation ward right now, and have begun work on a children’s ward and dental clinic.  Thanks to our many donors like you, this dream of the Egbe medical team is becoming a reality!  Praise God!  Another wonderful development is that all 8 missionaries that have been living at Egbe these past two years have decided to continue serving for 2 more years minimum.  We have 4 more coming in the next six months - - can you believe we will have 12 missionaries – doctors, nurses, mechanics, teachers, construction manager etc!

Thanks again for the equipment and supplies. Enjoy a few pictures taken on our last trip.”
